This Project started as an idea that it would be a great tradition to have a cradle that would pass through generations of children within the family. The cradle would be sent to the family just before the child was born.

The concept wasn't complete however just yet; the project also needed to be constructed by family members. Hence both Thomi and "papa" Tom decided to construct the cradle so that multiple generations were involved with the project from inception to fruition.

The challenges were many but a early one revolved around the physical distance between the two "builders".... 3,300 miles. However, mother of invention arose to the occasion once again. The cradle was constructed first in California then shipped in pieces to Pennsylvania where the cradle was sanded, sealed, finished, and last minute details applied in time for the first child's birth.

The cradle has been shared by three children so far and hopefully more to follow.................
