Food, Drink, and Cooking the Food

Ignoring the pause for refreshment, the backpacking stoves (bottom left and below) used in snow camping require a robust white gasoline fired stove with a pump. We traditionally ate dehydrated food that we rehydrated by melting snow. My friend below was not a happy camper on this trip....does he look cold to you? He did absolutely EVERYTHING wrong.......he didn't bring a dry change of clothing; he drank too much water before he went to bed and had to get up and outside of the trench to pee twice...that means dressing and putting on boots; he rolled his sleeping bag out too soon and it got damp hence he was very cold at night.......
